USING THE NEW PINTEREST ANALYTICS

There has been a really exciting development from Pinterest for business owners.

We have all heard the motivational quote ‘You Can’t Improve What You Don’t Measure’. That has never been so true when it comes to marketing your business.
Online business owners (or those aiming to market an ‘offline’ business online) now have a huge helping hand from Pinterest – the new visual social media platform – with the unveiling of Pinterest Analytics.

I have been demonstrating how to measure the results of pins for some time (how many repins, followers, likes and comments your pins have attracted) using various tools and techniques – but now that can be done from within Pinterest itself! How exciting and time-saving!

For businesses which are serious about getting visitors to their website and increasing customers and sales (and all businesses should be focussing on that right now) this is a game-changer!

If you know how to interpret the Analytics and find out what is most popular with your audience (for which read ‘prospective customers’) then you are in a position to offer them more of that and conversely less of the unpopular content.

In fact, if you don’t learn how to properly use analytics to measure the results of your pinning efforts, you may be losing out to your competition who will be.
To use the new Pinterest ‘Analytics’ function, you need to first set up a business account, (or convert your existing personal account to a business one) .
Next you need to convert your account to the ‘new look’ which Pinterest will shortly be rolling out to the public (having tested it over the past few months, using a number of invited testers).

I have been using the new layout for a while, and in my opinion there are pro’s and con’s. The new Analytics feature is a great start.

But try it for yourself and let me know what you think.

If you would like to learn how to start using this very important social media site for marketing your business, or to learn more about the ‘new look’ Pinterest, you can find out more free information here Pin Profit Pro.

Even if you have never used a social media site before and are wary, I believe you will love Pinterest… Don’t worry if you don’t know how to do the ‘techy’ stuff, there are simple step-by-step ways to get to grips with it, and the effort is well worth it.

To your creative success!
